With our modern, fully equipped surgical suite, Cumberland Animal Hospital provides surgical services including:

• General Surgeries such as soft tissue, ocular, wound management
• Elective surgeries such as spays and neuters
• Orthopedic surgeries

The health and comfort of your pet being foremost, he or she will have a tailored pain management program prescribed by the Doctor, as well as a personal technician to stay with your pet.  The personal technician caring for your pet will prepare him/her for surgery, monitor your pet during surgery with digital monitoring and a caring touch, and stay with your pet until fully recovered after surgery.

The safety of today’s modern medicine greatly reduces risks associated with surgery, but there are a few important things you can do to help make it safer.

• Please make sure your pet does not have any food to eat after 10pm the night before surgery.
• Pre-surgical bloodwork (we can do it the morning of surgery!)
• Regular wellness exams
